The first kitespot of Tarifa is Playa Chica. It is a very narrow beach with fine sand, no rocks and the water is usually colder. But the medium waves that forms when the Levante blows, makes it the favorite place for the experienced kitesurfers.

It is located between the port and the road that connects with the island of Las Palomas, is the last beach of the Mediterranean Sea. The bridge connecting the island of Las Palomas, separates Playa Chica in the Mediterranean with Balneario in the Atlantic.
